Octavia Yung, a born and bred Vancouverite, completed her undergraduate degree at Simon Fraser University (SFU). She began her education in Chemistry and eventually graduated with a degree in Arts and Sciences with a minor in French.
Shortly after graduation, Octavia developed a burgeoning interest in technology while working at Ballard Power. To foster this interest, she enrolled in the Object Technology Program at SFU, learning the ins and outs of coding. After completing her degree, she was hired at SFU as a Developer for the Seventh Floor Media department and began to explore her growing interest in business.
A few short years later, Octavia completed her diploma in Business Administration at SFU, eventually joining a start-up involved in OCR technology. In 2009, Octavia returned to school to acquire her MBA in Management of Technology at SFU. She specialized in bridging the gap between technology and business.
Her curiosity about how a business runs at the start-up level led her to work as a consultant, assisting with business analysis. A chance encounter with Bryan Hack at LOT with VBOT has led to a years-long collaboration and partnership. Since Bryan started BHC in 2016, she has worked with him on many projects with significant clients, applying the unique tools and techniques she has fined tuned over the years in this field.
Octavia has collaborated with various private companies, such as Boeing, Ecomm-911, and WorkSafeBC. She enjoys setting her schedule with over a decade of experience in this industry. She gains great satisfaction from contributing to projects that provide value and help people and businesses succeed through technology.
