My name is Philip. I am a CPA, CMA and started my career in 2007 as a financial system software developer. After a few years of coding, I wanted to move to a customer-facing role. I worked as an implementation consultant for an audit software company for a few years where I helped design and roll out audit programs for the internal audit department – leveraging audit analytics. I’m currently working as a financial system consultant where I help clients make the most of their financial system while upholding internal controls.

Most memorable project and why:
Most people remembered their first project, and I’m no exception. I remembered shadowing my senior colleagues to client visits, gathering requirements, coding, and final rollout of the application. The client is a charity organization where they providing funding for sick kids, anything from a new wheelchair to a Disney trip. The client needed a custom application where they can track application for funding while linking these applications to payments (disbursement of the fund) from their financial system. This is my most memorable project because I was fortunate enough to have worked with kind and patient people while building a meaningful product that does matter.
